While some mages choose to specialize in a single element, others recommend pursuing a broad and varied education in magic to comprehend a wider variety of spells. A true wizard understands that aspects of different elements can be woven into a single spell. A spell's level corresponds to the number of aspects woven into the spell.
A mageling can channel the first aspect of at least one of the four prime elements. Once a mageling can channel each of the elements, they are considered a mage. Wizards can weave three aspects into a third level spell. Legends whisper of archmages who can weave four aspects and cast fusion magic.
Scribes carve runes into rings that alter the outcomes of spells. Inscriptions can augment spells or cause an entirely different spell to be casted.

First Level Spells

- Multiplies a component of a wearer's spell, e.g., quantity, damage, duration, range.
